From the left hand
seat
We are now post South Africa's general elections,
post Easter holidays and post summer; but being a "post"
traveller should not put your mind at (total) ease. As
we will highlight in our article on bilharzia, some
travel-related illnesses and diseases only present
themselves some time after returning home, even after
you've settled back into normal run of the mill
routines.
We introduce you to Marlene Ras, our clinical case
manager who is responsible for the effective referral,
treatment and safe repatriation of our travelling
corporate clients and their families.
You will also read about our training associates,
Survival Technology and Training Academy (STTA), and you
will meet Stuart Sibbald, one of our paramedics in the
field in Angola.
Please contact us if you would like to know more
about any of the issues raised in this edition at pa@wtmconline.com
and remember to visit our website at www.wtmconline.com
for back issues of this newsletter and comprehensive
information on travel health in general.
Until next month - healthy travels, and hamba kahle!
